Character Background
Lumen Pierce is a major character in Dexter Season 5 and one of the few people who learns about Dexter's true nature without becoming his enemy. She is a survivor of brutal sexual and physical abuse at the hands of a group of wealthy and powerful men, led by Jordan Chase. After Dexter rescues her, she becomes his partner in vengeance, helping him track and kill the men who hurt her.
Unlike most of Dexter's relationships, Lumen fully accepts his dark side, as his "Dark Passenger" helps her achieve justice. Their bond becomes romantic, but ultimately, she leaves once her revenge is complete, believing she can now move on.
