Season 3 of Dexter takes a new turn as Dexter Morgan becomes entangled with Assistant District Attorney Miguel Prado, leading to an unexpected and dangerous alliance.

• Accidental Killing: Dexter unintentionally kills Oscar Prado, the younger brother of prominent ADA Miguel Prado, while targeting another criminal. This act sets off a chain of events as Miguel, initially unaware of Dexter's involvement, becomes obsessed with justice.
• Unlikely Friendship: Instead of suspecting Dexter, Miguel is drawn to him, and they form a close friendship. The season ends with Dexter successfully covering his tracks and marrying Rita Bennett, now pregnant with his child. However, he reflects on his growing struggles with balancing his dark urges, relationships, and the increasing risks of his double life.
